Arko Group / Arko Travel was founded by Sunčana and Žarko Žaknić. In 2026 we mark 10 years of operations with one focus: reliable, authentic, and modular guest experiences.

Our Story
After years of hands-on tourism work, Sunčana and Žarko Žaknić founded their own company to deliver a more personal and dependable service model. The goal was clear: quality over volume, trust over promises, and practical organization that guests can rely on.
Over time, the company expanded from classic travel services into modular products like Authentic Korcula, where guests can build their own route using history, farm tasting, and winery modules.
In 2025 the second generation joined the business full-time, strengthening guiding and maritime capacity while preserving the family-first approach.

A heart of the company and a shining figure who brings fresh energy from behind the scenes. She breathed life into one of the most recognizable travel experiences – lady Franchesca. While others are only beginning with storytelling, she has been entertaining people for more than a decade with legends, myths and gossip from the streets of Korčula.

In just one year he has become one of the most prominent tourist guides in Korčula. Thanks to him the storytelling of Marko Polo has reached a completely new level. He does not perceive history as a burden but as a material he shapes with ease. Because of his personality he wins over guests from the very first moment.
